Adam Brown was born and raised in the Tuolumne County area. He started playing tenor saxophone in the fourth grade and continued through his senior year as a member of the Summerville high school jazz band. After High School he put the saxophone down and picked up the acoustic guitar. Mostly self-taught playing guitar was an on-again-off-again hobby for the following 20 years. Around 2003 he was turned on to blues and modern blues-rock by his brother-in-law and a friend or two. This would be the beginning of his love for playing electric guitar while discovering multiple new artists from the blues rock genre. His inspiration came from artists like Howlin Wolf, Joe Bonamassa, Walter Trout, Tab Benoit, Tommy Castro, Doyle Bramhall II, let's not forget Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton and the list goes on and on. In January 2014 Adam was asked to join the band Uplands Drive playing tenor saxophone. It was only a matter of time before they had him playing guitar and singing as well.
In December 2015 stompbox was brought to life! Adam is the lead / rhythm guitar player with a few vocals in there too.
Since 1999 Adam has also owned and operated Wall Street Woodworking, a custom Cabinet Shop located on Tuolumne Road just up the hill from The junction shopping center.
Adam says he would not be able to do any of this without his beautiful loving wife Shanon and his amazing 10 year old son Corbin. While managing a business and playing in two bands Adam somehow finds plenty of time to spend with his family doing Boy Scout activities with his son, kayaking, camping and boating.
